We stay here regularly for a few days to a week while we visit family. The roads are tight for a 42 foot motorhome and some of the monthly folks park in the roadway. There is no cable but the owners are really nice and try hard to keep things under control. We had a newbee decide to run his generator one night after 10pm and Dave was right there telling him to turn it off. We will stay there again.

Wow! Great location, beautiful tall trees and a river at your back door. The owners have made incredible improvements to this park over the last couple of years. If you are not happy here, you won't be happy anywhere. Good Wifi and cell service too. Great for large dogs. Our Lab didn't want to leave.

The owner of this park is pretty casual and did his best to be sure we enjoyed our stay. The Wi-FI is spotty away from the office and the trees, while beautiful, will play havoc with your satellite but the cable is good. The sites have been angled in the past few years and it makes parking much easier. We had no problem getting in or out of the driveway so don't know what the past reviewer had as a problem. About 2/3s of the park is full time but we had no problem with any of them. We rated it down due to maintainence and Wi-Fi. Both could be easily remedied.

Thank you fellow reviewers. We usually avoid KOA but on this trip have been to 3 KOAs because of reviews on RV Park Reviews. This one has lots of 10s and they are right. The owners are on site and "ACTIVE" in making sure your stay in their park is all that it can be. We are traveling in a 42 foot long motorhome and our site #8 is perfect. The visitors center should try to do as well as Suzanne here at the KOA. We went from 2 to 4 nights because of her efforts.

High marks for this KOA. We had a pull thru for a 42 foot motorhome. Great View of the valley and we hit them when they were having a 2 for 1 promotion. Lots of interesting birds came to our feeder and our lab appreciated the dog run. People make the park and these folks get a 10. We liked being away from the trains that seem to be right next to all RV parks. If you are going to Angel Fire this is a great place to stop and get used to altitude.

If you are interested in either a one nighter or five like we did, you will be pleased with this basic RV park. Bring your bird seed and feeder and you will be amazed at how soon the birds find it. Gambles Quail, Black headed Grosbeaks, one Rose-breasted Grosbeak male, Cow birds by the hundred, black chinned hummingbirds, Bullocks Orioles went nuts over the orange half we hung up. The park is all gravel with lots of open space between rigs. Bosque Del Appache is a mile down the road and worth the trip for any new or experienced birder. Plus the best Green Chile Burgers in the world are just down the road in San Antonio. Nice people all around. We were in a big rig.
